“Social Network Vanity URLs” are a unique web address that is used for branding and marketing purposes. These Vanity URL’s are easier to remember making your social network for your company easier to find. Given the example below, which do you think is easier to find?
Initially claiming a Vanity URL has its setbacks especially if somebody has beaten you to the punch.
One more thing, Vanity URLs should be thought about carefully because most networks do not allow for any future edits. This might be ok for newer company pages when likes are still at a minimum because you can still migrate to another account without losing much of your audience. But if your audience already runs in the thousands, guess there would always be losses in the process of migration.
